Why should water be filtered before it is ionized?

Electrolysis changes pH and generates molecular hydrogen, but it is not a substitute for comprehensive water filtration.

Without dedicated pre-filtration, an ionizer may process chlorine, sediment, unpleasant tastes, particulates, and other source-water constituents alongside the water.

What are the benefits of selective pH adjustment?

Selective pH adjustment allows one Fountain to produce different water profiles for different daily applications.

Water is not improved simply by making every serving as alkaline as possible. The relevant pH depends on whether the water is being used for drinking, tea, coffee, cooking, food preparation, rinsing, or household purposes.

Begin at pH 8.5, progress to pH 9.0, and then transition to pH 9.5 as the standard ongoing daily-drinking setting.

What do pH, ORP, and molecular hydrogen mean?

pH, ORP, and molecular hydrogen describe different water properties and should not be treated as interchangeable.

The Bionic Fountain is designed around fresh molecular hydrogen and selectable pH—not an ORP number alone. A strongly negative ORP does not independently establish an exact H₂ concentration.

Does the Fountain preserve minerals or lower TDS?

The Bionic Fountain is designed to preserve naturally occurring mineral ions rather than substantially lower TDS.

Calcium, magnesium, and other dissolved mineral salts are smaller than the suspended materials targeted by the ultrafiltration membrane. These minerals remain where they are already present in the source water.

Mineral preservation supports:

Reverse osmosis is intended for broad dissolved-solids reduction. The Fountain is optimized for treated municipal water where selective refinement and mineral preservation are the priority.

How quickly should Fountain water be consumed?

Hydrogen-rich ionized water is best consumed fresh, immediately or soon after it is generated.

Molecular hydrogen gradually escapes when exposed to air. Heat, agitation, open containers, and large exposed surface areas accelerate this loss.

The alkaline pH can remain measurable after some dissolved H₂ has escaped. Water may therefore still test alkaline without retaining its original molecular-hydrogen level.

Fill directly from the Fountain and drink promptly. When storage is necessary, use a clean, tightly sealed container, minimize empty air space, keep the water cool, and consume it as soon as practical.

How is the Bionic Fountain installed and maintained?
